With its Steel Ladle Refractories range, Sidertrading provides complete solutions for ladle linings, developed according to different operating conditions and specific metallurgical requirements. The range includes materials for sidewalls, bottom, impact zone, slag line and permanent lining, as well as functional ceramics for gas purging and flow-control systems.
Among the solutions developed for the working lining are SID-MAG bricks, manufactured using fused and sintered magnesia blends. The different grades available make it possible to adapt the material to the various areas of the ladle, optimising resistance to erosion, thermo-mechanical performance and lining lifetime. For areas exposed to particularly aggressive slag conditions, specific high-magnesia and magnesia-carbon compositions are available, while Al₂O₃-MgO-C based materials are used in the impact zone, providing enhanced resistance to erosion.
The range is completed by SID-PLUG porous plugs for gas purging, available in non-directional, directional and dynamic configurations. These components are part of the functional ceramics designed for ladle applications and are developed to meet different metallurgical process requirements.
